Paige finally returned in Young Sheldon season 6, but her latest appearance actually ruined Sheldon and Amy's sweetest moment on The Big Bang Theory.

^ It was great to see Paige return in Young Sheldon season 6, but her recent appearance actually ruined one of the sweetest moments between Sheldon and Amy on The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon's fellow prodigy returns in the CBS family comedy. However, instead of solving her long-standing problems, Paige is worse than ever. To be a good friend-to-be, Sheldon tries to make sure she's okay, bringing out the more human side of the character. Sadly, it also doesn't help Sheldon and Amy's Big Bang Theory story.

When Paige was last seen on Young Sheldon, she seemed to have hit rock bottom. Obviously, this is not the case. As she continues on this bumpy road, she becomes almost a cautionary tale for gifted teenagers. Paige reveals how dark TBBT can be as it offers an idea of how alone Sheldon might be without the Pasadena gang. However, her presence is a double-edged sword, as it would also ruin a particularly great moment in The Big Bang Theory.

In Season 6, Episode 13 of Young Sheldon, Sheldon follows Peppa as he tries to jump from one college party to another. Throughout At night, they also meet Missy, who takes over and talks Paige out of her self-destructive tendencies. The Cooper twins took their friend to Sheldon's dorm room, where she spent the night. This belittles Sheldon and Amy's post-love confession moment in The Big Bang Theory. In "Prom Equivalent", they confess their feelings for each other for the first time, but despite Sheldon's love for Amy, he still won't let her sit on his bed. However, in Young Sheldon season 6, he even had Paige sleep on it.

Page's presence in Sheldon's life would certainly change his story in The Big Bang Theory. First, it shows that even at an early age, he was aware that there were other prodigies out there. In fact, even Missy thinks Paige is smarter than her twin brother. A young Sheldon also tries to introduce some sort of puppy love between the two, with Sheldon realizing he has a crush on her so-called rival. The plot doesn't go anywhere because Paige is just not interested, but it shows that Sheldon was able to be romantically attracted to someone long before he met Amy.

Paige's storyline further proves Little Sheldon needs to completely ignore TBBT. With no mention of the character in The Big Bang Theory, CBS couldn't really develop her arc for long. Her story is also good for Sheldon, because it allows the family sitcom to emphasize his humanity despite his lack of social skills. Although Sheldon did object to Missy keeping Paige in his dorm room, he eventually agreed. If he really doesn't want to, he can make this matter even bigger. However, the fact that he basically follows Paige to keep her safe confirms that Sheldon does care about her.
