Star Trek: Picard sees the return of Patrick Stewart's iconic Star Trek commander, Jean-Luc Picard. This is the first time the Commander has appeared in the Star Trek franchise since 2002's Star Trek: Nemesis, and Star Trek teams everywhere are led by the former USS Enterprise admiral for another rollercoaster adventure. Now, three years after the first season of Star Trek: Picard aired, fans are gearing up for the finale, which looks like it can't be missed. With returning characters in Star Trek: The Next Generation, it's shaping up to be one of the most exciting saga in the Star Trek universe.

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Plot and Inspiration
Writer Terry Matalas reveals that Season 3 of Picard will be "very different" from the first two. So what can fans expect to see in Season 3? As a closing season, we can expect a satisfying conclusion to Picard's story, and fans are excited about the prospect of next-gen members joining Picard in his honor heritage.
Mataras also stated that season 3 will tie together other narratives and storylines found throughout the Star Trek franchise, particularly elements from the film Star Trek: The Originals. Another major touchstone for season 3 was Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, largely inspired by a mind game between Picard and a major villain. Since Wrath of Khan is considered one of the best Star Trek films ever made, fans should be excited.
The official synopsis discusses how Picard was drawn into "the most daring mission of his life" after receiving a message from a "long-lost friend". Picard will have to confront the legacy of his past and attempt to steer the fate of the Commonwealth into safer waters than where he found it.
Stark Trek Picard: Season 3 Cast
As previously mentioned, Season 3 featured many characters from The Next Generation. Fans can look forward to seeing the next generation of co-stars such as Gates McFadden (Crusher), Marina Surtees (Troi), Jonathan Frakes (Riker), Michael Dorn (Worf), LeVar Burton ( La Forge) and Brent Spiner (Lore). Although Sirtis, Spiner and Frakes have all been short-lived in the last two games season, which could be the last time we see them again, as Mataras has discussed how privileged it would be to "give them a proper send." However, this is Star Trek after all, so anything can happen, and a character can return when the coin drops.
We can expect to see some new characters appear, such as Liam Shaw as Captain Liam Shaw of the Titan. Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut will play La Forge's eldest daughter, Sidney, and Amanda Plummer will play a very interesting character, the main antagonist of the season, Vadic, who will play many mind games with Picard.
