'Queen Charlotte: The Bridgerton Story' set for spring release
The "Bridgerton" prequel is coming to society soon.

Looks like London social season will be upon us again soon! Fans already got hints when Bridgerton prequel Queen Charlotte: The Bridgerton Story premiered on Netflix, but we're wondering when exactly we'll get a chance to experience Charlotte (India Amarteifio) and George's (Corey Mylchreest) Chance to Change Society Our Own Love Story. Fortunately, we now know that the series will return earlier this year than expected. Spring 2023, to be exact.
This information comes from a Bridgerton-themed tea box tweeted by journalist Meghan O'Keefe, the back of which reveals that the spin-off romance will premiere on Netflix in just a few months. With just a few official images, and a trailer released during Netflix's TUDUM event, it seems hard to believe this highly anticipated series is coming, but hopefully that means we'll see a trailer for a new series at some point soon.
Set in the years before the Bridgerton events, Queen Charlotte will follow the titular monarch early in her marriage, and will also play a younger version of Charlotte's close friend Lady Danbury, plays In the prequel series of Arsema Thomas. The cast also includes Bridgerton newcomer Michelle Fairley as Princess Augusta, Sam Clements as a young Brimsley, Richard Cunningham as Lord Bute, Tunji Kassim as Adolphus, Rob Maloney as the Royal Doctor and Cyril Neely as Lord Danbury.

What Is Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story About?
According to Netflix, the official synopsis for Queen Charlotte: The Bridgerton Tale reads:
Centered on Queen Charlotte's rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen's marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.
While the focus happens to be on Charlotte's younger years, the cast of the series seems to suggest that the show will be set in the "now" Spending some time in the days of the Bridgerton universe, both Golda Rosheuvel and Adjoa Andoh will reprise their roles as the older Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury, respectively. They are joined by Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet, the matriarch of the Bridgerton family, and Hugh Sachs as the older Brimsley.
