Everything We Know About Arrowverse's Red Death In The Flash Season 9
Although Red Death is Ryan, it is unclear which version of Batwoman this is supposed to be. Episode 3 of The Flash season 9, titled "War Rogue," revealed that Ryan disappeared in the line of duty a few weeks ago. Not long after, the Red Death showed up in Central City ahead of this week's episode's big reveal. But Ryan's whereabouts are unclear, as the Red Death may not be Batman's Earth-Prime version.
Given that the Red Death in the comics is a multiverse version of Batman, it's possible that The Flash was filmed in a similar fashion. This is Ryan from a parallel universe or alternate timeline. If it's a doppelganger, that would explain why she may or may not have kidnapped Earth-Prime's Batwoman. After Crisis on Infinite Earths, Arrowvere instituted a new rule that there cannot be more than one version of a person on the same Earth.
With only two episodes left in the Red Dead saga, The Flash season 9 will have answers soon. Episodes 4 and 5 are actually two parts of 'The Mask of the Red Death', likely next week This episode will get into her backstory. The Flash season 9 episode 5 could be the final showdown between Barry and this version of Ryan. Considering how much Red Death content they've amassed over the past few weeks, The Flash season 9 promises to pay off handsomely for the overall storyline.
