Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania officially kicks off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a cast of familiar faces as well as new ones. Quantumania, directed by Peyton Reed and written by Jeff Loveness, is the first MCU film to feature Kang the Conqueror, who previously debuted in Loki season 1 as He Who Remains.
Scott Lang is living his best life after Avengers: Endgame. He's back with his daughter Cassie, and he even wrote a book about his adventures with the Avengers. But the happiness didn't last long, as he, Cassie, and the Pym family were all sucked into the Quantum Realm. Together, they must confront Kang and stop him from leaving to wreak havoc on the multiverse. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Madness wraps up Scott's story while making way for a new story that will influence Phase 5 of the MCU. Paul Rudd as Ant-Man/Scott Lang
Scott Lang is an Avenger - Ant-Man - trapped in the Quantum Realm after Thanos kills Hope Van Dyne and her The family ceases to exist. He returns in Avengers: Endgame to help his friends stop Thanos using time travel. Scott was able to reconnect with his daughter and write a book about his adventures. Ant-Man is played by Paul Rudd, who is best known for his roles on the hit TV series Friends, "The Dominatrix", "Friends", "I Love You", "Host: Ron Bo The Legend of Burgundy and its sequel, Perks of Being a Wallflower. It's 40, Knocked Up, and the Ant-Man movie before that.
Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror
Kang the Conqueror is the main villain of MCU Phase Five. Kang is a time traveler exiled to the Quantum Realm who believes that only he can save the multiverse from his morphs. Kang himself is a variant of Loki season 1's He Who Remains, creator of the Time-Changing Authority. Kang is played by Jonathan Majors, who played multiple Kang roles in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum of Fury. Majors is best known for his roles in the HBO series Lovecraft Country, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Devotion, Blood War 5 and the Netflix film Prison Break.
Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne
Janet van Dyne was a scientist and British matriarch The Pym family trapped in the Quantum Realm for 30 years before being rescued. There, she meets Kang, who feels guilty about helping him escape the Quantum Realm in the first place before fulfilling his plan. Janet is played by Michelle Pfeiffer, best known for her roles in Batman Returns, in which she played Selena Kyle/Catwoman, What Lurks, It's a Beautiful Day, Stardust, Music Shows Hairspray, Dangerous Minds, Grease 2 and Scarface.
Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang
Cassie Lang is Scott's 18-year-old daughter. Cassie has a strong sense of justice and uses the Ant-Man-like suit she created with Hank Pym to help those in need. She is also working on recovering signals in the quantum realm. This version of Cassie Lang is played by Kathryn Newton, best known for her roles on the HBO series Big Little Lies, the feature-length CW series Supernatural, Lady Bird, the television series Society, and the Prime Video film Map of Maps' Tiny Perfection, and three billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne/Wasp
Hope van Dyne is director of the Pim Van Dyne Foundation and the daughter of Janet and Hank. She donned the Wasp's mantle to help Ant-Man his adventure. Hope is played by Evangeline Lilly, best known for her roles in The Hurt Locker, Steel Scroll, Avengers: Endgame and the two previous Ant-Man films, the sci-fi TV series Lost and the two Hobbit films - The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
Michael Douglas as Hank Pym
Hank Pym is Hope's father and Janet Van Dyne's husband. Hank is a former agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. And a physicist who created the Pym particle for use in Avengers: Endgame. Hank Pym is played by Michael Douglas, known for his roles in Traffic, Fatal Attraction, Wall Street, The President of the United States, Instinct and the rom-com Ex-Girlfriend's Famous for his role in The Ghost.
