5 TNG Updates for Picard Season 3 Premiere

The season 3 premiere of Star Trek: Picard offered some insight into what the Star Trek: The Next Generation cast has been up to since their last appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis. Season 3 of Picard, the show's final season, sees Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) reuniting with his best friend from his time as captain of the USS Enterprise-D. The old crew regroups after a shocking distress call leads to a new threat to the Federation of Planets.
The first two seasons of Star Trek: Picard largely avoided TNG's supporting cast, showcasing Picard's new crew, which includes the eccentric cybernetic Dr. Agnes Jurati (Alison Peele) and Soggy (Isa Briones), they're TNG's synthetic offspring Picard's late friend and colleague Lieutenant Data (Brent Spiner). Of all his TNG comrades, Picard is probably closest to Beverly Cruise. They knew each other for years before serving together on Enterprise-D, as Crusher's late husband, Lieutenant Colonel Jack Crusher (Doug Wert), had served with Captain Picard on the USS Stargazer. There was some tension between Jean-Luc and Beverly in the early days of TNG, and there were a few potentially romantic phone calls, but the two eventually developed a warm, close friendship, often having breakfast together and having candid discussions about their personal issues .

Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton) does not actually appear in the episode, but Picard specifically mentions him at the beginning of the episode. As he assesses his castle's inventory, Picard and Laris stop to admire the Enterprise-D painting that once hung in Picard's preparation room. Picard said he was going to give it as a gift to Jody, who is now the director of the Fleet Museum, where the famous retired Starfleet ships are on display.
Picard and Riker also meet Geordi's daughter Ensign Sidney La Forge (Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut) and helmsman of the USS Titan-A.
