12 MCU Movies Coming After Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Fever

Marvel still has a lot of movies in the pipeline. Here are all 12 MCU movies coming out after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum of Madness, and when they will be released.

After Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Fever, Marvel Studios still has 12 films set in the MCU in the pipeline. With the release of the new Ant-Man and the Wasp movie, a new era for the MCU has begun. Phase 4 concluded with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and now Quantum Fever is the first chapter of Phase 5.

Given Marvel's knowledge of the MCU's broader plans, it makes sense that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Fever was chosen as the first chapter of Phase 5 to be the film that will bring Phase 5 into full swing. Peyton Reed sees Scott Lang and others trapped in the Quantum Realm in the third Ant-Man movie, where they're forced to fight Kang the Conqueror ), Kang was the 31st time traveler and a key member of the Avengers' rogues' gallery. The classic Avengers villain, played by Jonathan Majors, has been positioned as the prime antagonist of the multiverse saga. This is the next step in the multiverse saga after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Fever.

12 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Star-Lord and others will catch up to the Gamora variant in Avengers: Endgame Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. 3, which will be the third and final installment of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. guardian is They're bound to have their hands full as they go up against Chudwudi Iwuji's High Evolutionary, a major Marvel Comics villain whose reputation for "evolving" animals and humans will tie into Rocket Raccoon's MCU origin story. Brie Larson's next MCU appearance is scheduled for July 28, 2023, when The Marvels will be released. In Captain Marvel's second film, Carol Danvers will form a trio with two other Marvel Comics heroines whose MCU stories are set by the Phase 4 Disney+ show. After gaining superpowers in WandaVision, Teyonah Parris will return to Marvel as Monica Rambeau, as will Ms. Marvel's Kamala Khan. Directed by Nia DaCosta, the third installment of Phase 5 will also feature a reappearance of Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury. 10 Captain America: New World Order

Officially turning Sam Wilson into the next Sentinel of Liberty, Steve Rogers' MCU successor will adapt in Captain America: The New World Order. Led by Julius Onah, Captain America 4 will pit Anthony Mackie's character against a surprising antagonist, the Leader. Samuel Stearns will reprise his role in The Incredible Hulk, hopefully finally completing his comic book transformation. General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross is also back, but this time, he'll be resurrected by Harrison Ford. A third Hulk character, a mutant named Sabra, will make his MCU debut in the film. The film will be released on May 3, 2024.

9 Thunderbolts

Several existing MCU characters will come together to form their own superhero team in Thunderbolts. Often described as a group of supervillains turned antiheroes, the Thunderbolts would pay off in settings provided by multiple MCU projects, starting with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Described as a sequel to Black Widow, Thunderbolts features Red Guardian (David Harbor), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Specter (Hannah John-Kamen), The Copycat ( Olga Kurylenko), American Secret Service (Wyatt Russell), and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), who Will act as the site leader for the team. Julia Louis-Dreyfus will make her fifth MCU appearance in the film, playing Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, the head of the operation. Thunderbolts hits theaters on July 26, 2024.

8 Blade

After years of being voiced in the end credits scene of Eternals, Mahershala Ali will appear as the iconic Marvel Comics vampire hunter in Blade, a film poised to explore the corners of the supernatural MCU. The film, directed by Yann Demange, has no confirmed villain for Ali's character, nor a known plot. However, the Black Knight's Ebony Blade will reportedly be at hand. But right now, there's no word on whether Kit Harington's Dane Whitman will be part of the story as the MCU's Black Knight. Blade hits theaters on September 6, 2024 and will conclude Phase 5.

7 Deadpool 3

The MCU's first-ever R-rated movie, Deadpool 3, brings Ryan Reynolds' "Merc with a Mouth" to the MCU. Sean Levy will direct the film, and it's confirmed that Deadpool will be paired with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, who will also make his first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Exactly How the movie will pull them into the MCU is unclear, but it's widely believed that the concept of the multiverse is at work. Deadpool 3, set to hit theaters on November 6, is the last MCU film of 2024 and the first of Marvel's Phase 6.

6 Fantastic Four

To date, there have been three live-action Fantastic Four films, none of which are under the Marvel Studios umbrella. That will change on February 15, 2025, when the MCU's first Fantastic Four adaptation hits theaters. The cast hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's still possible the movie could re-use John Krasinski, who played an alternate reality version of Mister Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. According to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, it's as important to the future of the MCU as the Avengers. Matt Schackman (WandaVision) will direct.

5 Avengers: The Kang Dynasty

A new version of Earth's Mightiest Heroes will headline Destin Daniel Cretton's Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Currently, the exact lineup Marvel has in store for the fifth Avengers movie is unknown, but what's certainly not a secret is the identity of the villain. As the title confirms, the upcoming Phase 6 project will herald Kang the Conqueror returns. His battle with the Avengers will be the culmination of previous events in the MCU, including Loki, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and more. Kang Dynasty is scheduled to be released on May 2, 2025.

4 Avengers: Secret Wars

Similar to how Marvel released Infinity War and Endgame in successive years, the studio will employ a similar strategy with its fifth and sixth Avengers films. Presumably, everything that happens in the Kang dynasty will lead directly to Avengers: Secret Wars. In the comic book story of the same name as Secret Wars, a cosmic entity called Beyonder brings together various Marvel Comics superheroes into a pocket dimension called Battleworld to battle their hand-picked greatest villains. The MCU version of this event, which may or may not involve Kang the Conqueror, is written by Michael Waldron and will hit theaters on May 1, 2026. Currently, the film has no director.

3 Armor Wars (TBA)

Originally planned as a six-episode Disney+ series, Armored Warfare is based on the Iron Man comic book storyline in which Tony Stark is determined to track down the Armor designs he stole. For the MCU story, Marvel will replace the armored Avengers with Don Cheadle's War Machine, and Don Cheadle will seek to preserve the legacy of the fallen Avengers by keeping Tony's technology from falling into the wrong hands. Armor Wars, which lacks a director, doesn't have a firm spot in the Multiverse Saga, let alone a release date.

2 Shang-Chi 2 (TBA)

Sometime after directing Avengers: Dynasty Kang, Clayton would return to the helm and write Shang-Chi and the sequels to The Legend of the Ten Rings. Confirmed to be in development by Marvel Studios, Shang-Chi 2 is one of three MCU films without a release date. As expected, Simu Liu is expected to come aboard as a kung fu master. As for what the story will bring, the first film set a storyline involving a mysterious threat from the multiverse and his sister's takeover of the Ten Rings.

1 Spider-Man 4 (TBA)

Tom Holland's time as MCU's Peter Parker didn't end with Spider-Man: No Way Home. The movie is still in the early planning stages, so there are no details on the cast, director, release date or plot. That being said, Feige said Stories are being written. With nowhere to go and all of Peter's friends forgetting his secret identity, the new movie has a chance to introduce the Creeper to a brand new supporting role in the Spider-Man comics.
