The recently released official trailer for Mayfair Witches will likely give you a similar vibe to Interview with the Vampire, but without the blood-sucking undead walking around (or are there?). More of a grim gothic atmosphere and tense narrative, the two stories may be similar. The clip suggests that, like her other stories, Rice's vision of a witch's life will be through the eyes of an uninformed, inexperienced Newcomer, she will delve into the history of Mayfair's dynasty and discover her true identity. The trailer also shows through gorgeous and psychedelic cinematography that this fantastical story will go beyond what we've seen in the genre in the past. It's almost like walking through a story game. Also, in addition to all the fantastical settings, the series will explore magic and mythology, secret societies, and more such aspects of witchcraft, which will make it an even more mystical experience.
