One major difference between the two trailers is how everyone's perception of the otherworldly event changes. While the first clip showed the horror the Heywood siblings and the rest of the town were going through, the second trailer showed that, despite the fear, Emerald wanted to cash in on the event and use it to their advantage. Watch the Nope Trailer
In terms of the overall feel of the film, expect all the sci-fi thriller elements with a scarier angle, woven into chaotic and mysterious events, with horses rampaging and people screaming, the works. There's also a touch of dark humor, as we see in certain scenes and dialogue.
Nope's title is a little giveaway of the movie's alien theme, which could stand for Not of Planet Earth or Not on Planet Earth. Either way, it's about the mysterious forces terrorizing the ranches of the Southwest. Nope's story revolves around a UFO. But this is no plain old UFO with green, ugly creatures going out to control humans. The presence of aliens is directly hinted at by the fact that random objects are falling from the sky, and UFO-like objects destroy everything in their path. But we haven't seen them yet. And the sister and brother's attitude towards the existence of aliens is also different from what we see in such science fiction movies. The point of the story isn't the flying objects or what they do. no more. It's quirky, terrifying, and unique in its approach to storytelling, which, needless to say, is what Peele excels at in his films. That's all we're going to reveal here (don't want us to spoil the movie, do you?) but here's a link to our article explaining all the questions you might have about the movie, just in case .
